LED Lighting Taking Over the World

I recently saw an arena show from a popular country star, and in the platform, I couldn't see an incandescent light. I couldn't be completely sure, but as I reached the dimmers area behind the scenes, I discovered that there were indeed some conventional LED Light and 1 small rack of dimmers. Probably less gradation than most church readers this website have in their rooms, for a large arena platform supporting a major country artist. Just a few years ago, we were still working with the main lighting systems of the 100 dimmers for this artist.

This may lead you to ask: "Is this the end of gradation and conventional lighting?"

You've probably seen advertisements for LED lighting fixtures everywhere. $100 pars with 16 million colors that don't require a dimmer. If you're looking to buy, it looks like the end of the dimmers is there, but is that the case?

Despite all the hype that some marketers have built, the end is not there for the dimmers, at least not yet! The technology is still new and is not yet perfected. While these fixtures may look great, this can change quickly. 6 months later, this may not be what you tended to believe, as LEDs may begin to fade or change hues.

Are LEDs invading the world and are dimmers disappearing?

Yes, but not yet. I wrote above about the hype that leads people to believe that they can replace their conventional lighting with LEDs at no cost above the cost of new conventional lights and gradation. Although there is still no cheap replacement for conventional flesh-colored light with LEDs, this era is coming soon. The main reasons are a bad CRI, or color rendering index, and a jerky gradation. Cheap LED lights are just not beautiful enough for us. However, some professional stage lighting companies offer LED fixtures in the $1,000 price range that defy the odds and are good enough for the camera.

This is where life becomes exciting. If you read this a few years after 2013, you'll probably laugh because these fixtures will be available for only a few hundred dollars. The technological curve is changing so fast and it's very exciting!

In the meantime, you can always change all your colorful lighting with LEDs, and it's much more cost-effective in the long run. Indeed, LED light Pakistan is a mixture of additive colors. The deep colors are made by just turning on the light just a little bit, instead of using a gel and turning the light to the maximum just to get it through a wash and the new products have a great color output. This saves the frequent cost of replacing the gel as well as the energy used by the light and heat it generates. Plus, your artists will love the heat reduction on your stage!
